Martin and Dáša’s Wedding at the Prešov Calvary

A Wedding Photographer’s Perspective

When Martin and Dáša asked me to capture their wedding day, I immediately felt that it would be a special story. As a creative wedding photographer, I was instantly drawn to the church at the Prešov Calvary they chose for their ceremony, with its beautiful architecture and deep spiritual significance. This location gives weddings a unique atmosphere that perfectly blends aesthetics and emotion. For a photographer who enjoys working with stories and details, it was an ideal opportunity to create images full of beauty and depth.

The day began in a warm and pleasant spirit during the preparations. Dáša was radiant in her wedding gown, and Martin—elegant and smiling—was eagerly awaiting the moment he would see her. This moment brought a beautiful mix of anticipation and joy, which I captured with an emphasis on their natural emotions. Their looks and smiles reflected true love, giving the wedding photographs the right atmosphere.

The ceremony at the church on the Prešov Calvary created a truly unique setting for their vows. Light streaming through the stained-glass windows illuminated the space with a soft, warm glow. Every moment—from the arrival to the exchange of rings—preserved the beauty of their relationship and the spiritual essence of the ceremony.

After the ceremony, we used the surroundings of Prešov city center for portrait photography. Staircases, historic elements, and softly lit streets at night created the perfect backdrop for romantic images. Martin and Dáša enjoyed these moments, which was reflected in the natural and relaxed photographs.

The reception, full of laughter, dancing, and joy, showed the dynamic energy of their wedding day. I photographed spontaneous moments such as the first dance, cutting the cake, and smiles during congratulations.

The wedding at the Prešov Calvary inspired me with its atmosphere, authentic emotions, and beautiful setting. Martin and Dáša created a story that I was happy to translate into my photographs.
